Expensive but RARE December 4, 2008
Spouse got a commemorative (electric) watch for employment anniversary. After a period, the battery went "feet up" and needed to be replaced. Searched all of the standard places for a new one: Walgreens, Wal*Mart, RadioShack, Batteries Plus, etc.. No one had them. But ask Amazon? They Did have (or were able to acquire) one. Ordered it.
THE battery: $1.29. Was shipped, two weeks later, in a USPS standard 1st class envelope with $0.42 stamp on it. Shipping charge? $5.93.
But, the alternative was a dead watch, so ....
