Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Adjust-a-Lift is sold in single lifts, not pairs. The Adjust-a-Lift is made of 1/8" three layers of neoprene rubber and a layer of leather on top. The layers can be removed to get approximately the right height when placed in the shoe. One layer provides 1/8" lift, 2 layers, 1/4" lift and 3 layers 3/8" lift. The layer of leather makes this more of a lift than a pad; similar-looking products with a nylon top are generally too soft and spongy to serve as heel lifts. The main advantage of the Adjust-a-Lift is that you need not remove the insole or foot bed of your shoe to use it, as the top leather cover is absorbent and comfortable underfoot. However, it cannot be cleaned but can be expected to last as long as the pair of shoes in which it is placed. The neoprene material used is somewhat compressible, so you may notice your heel moving up and down or rubbing in your shoe slightly when walking with an Adjust-a-Lift. The foam will also compress slightly as you walk on it, so the height it provides will become less over time. The Adjust-a-Lift is usually used in closed-heel fashion. For open heel lifts, please see Clearly Adjustable Heel Lifts.

5 out of 5 stars A lift to my life   September 3, 2010
Robert A. Stettler (California)
I had a knee replacement with excellent results discounting the fact I now set off metal detectors. I limped before the surgery and didn't walk exactly right afterwards. Eventually I figured out the surgery had left my leg a little shorter than it had been. My orthopedic doctor gave me an Adjust-a-Lift to try out. It worked well, I especially liked the layered construction that allowed me to easily adjust the amount of lift. I bought more of them and now have them in my dress shoes, work boots and tennis shoes. I even glued one in my sandal. I highly, and without reservation recommend them to anyone who needs a lift in their life.

5 out of 5 stars Great little fix to a big problem   June 5, 2010
Karl W. Hoffman (Tucson AZ USA)
I have had back and hip pain on and off for years and have seen dozens of chiropractors and doctors. finally one took some measurements and found that my right leg was 9mm shorter. Started with 1/2 a lift for a month and then the full lift and with a few lower back and hip adjustments I feel like a kid again. My doc gave me some velcro strips to keep them in place and change from shoe to shoe for those I don't wear a lot. Great product at a great price and well made. They hold up well but of course not forever.

2 out of 5 stars Used twice & the layers separated   May 14, 2010

I read the reviews & bought one. Have 1 leg 1/2" shorter than the other. I placed this into my Dansko clog & by day 2, the layers started separating!! I can not recommend this product in light of this performance. Very dissapointing. The seller is not to be blamed-the mfg could use some perfecting of this product.

5 out of 5 stars perfect for sandals   April 13, 2010

If you've ever worn shoes without socks you can appreciate this lift. Sweaty feet stick to smooth leather and many other smooth surfaces. But this soft suede surface won't stick to sweaty feet.

Really works for my leg length difference. Great in running shoes. My lower back no longer hurts, and my hip pain is gone.
