Help for aching hands August 10, 2008 I purchased the parafin spa because my hands are getting arthritic and ache a lot. I love the parafin spa. It is very convenient and easy to use
love it March 1, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just bought this and LOVE it. It took only about 4 hours to heat up, better than i thought. I wish the wax that it came with was scented but thats no big deal. I am a nurse living in Canada, and you can probably imagine what my hands look like at the end of the day, between the frequent hand washing and the cold. they literally felt like sand paper before using this. I followed the directions, put on some moisturizer, and after about 10 minutes they feel 100% better. soft and not painful, like thye were before. The wax looked a bit gunked up but thats probably because of the lotion. I'm not sure how many times you can re-use the wax before it gets nasty, but I guess I'll just have to figure that out as I go. definately worth it for the price!
Melts wax, but unit could be improved January 19, 2008 Wax melts, but the control indicator is difficult to find and the lid's handle is too low to easily lift. The directions aren't sufficient. However, the wax does melt so it accomplishes its purpose.
Certainly cheaper than a salon! March 13, 2006 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
The parafin bath has treated me well. You definitely need assistance if you want to be able to do both hands at the same time but the resulting heat treatment and soft skin is worth it, it does as well as professional treatments which can easily cost the same for one treatment. I have tendonitis issues and have found the deep moist heat treatment to be good for the pain. It fits both hands and feet easily. The unit takes a while to warm up but all parafin baths would have to do the same.
