I LOVE these files! Not only are they beautiful, but they work like the very dickens! They do "fine" filing and "coarse" filing, removing as much or as little nail as you want, quickly, neatly, and gently, leaving a very smooth edge. I originally bought one file, and loved it so much I came back for the 5-pack, and now have a nail file handy in every pencil cup in the house!
