They didnot really help July 21, 2010 Xiuchun Tian I am a ballroom dancer starting to develop bunions. I bought metatarsal support based on my podiatrist's recommendation, hoping that they would help alleviate the pain when I dance for 4 hours straight. But they did not help, gave me imbalances, actually made me hurt a bit more. The package does not tell you where to place them. My podiatrist told me where to place them and I did what she told me. Maybe they would only help if I not so nuts about dancing.
It works!! May 5, 2010 Kathryn L. Womack I have a morton's neuroma and have had quite a few cortisone injections for it. The first 2 injections were 4 years ago, they worked, and lasted for 4 years! However, I went back several months ago and got two more injections and these seemed to aggravate the nerve. It got so bad that I couldn't walk for 3 weeks. I am now able to walk again, but I can't wear most shoes/sandals because I get "electric shock" like feelings in my neuroma. I went searching online for something to put in my shoes that will take the pressure off this nerve, and I found these Metatasal lift pads. I was kind of skeptical, but figured since it was only $15 I would take a chance, and I'm glad I did. These pads work great, no more pain.
Since I only have a Morton's Neuroma in one foot and this is a set of 2 pads, I used them on two different pairs of sandal's. You stick them to the shoe and the adhedsive keeps them in place.
It was worth $15 to be able to walk pain free again!

Quick relief January 31, 2010 Steele Brand (Georgetown, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My problem has been foot cramping between toes at night while sleeping. The cramp then wakes me up. I thought this was a symptom of Morton's Neuroma, so I tried these pads. I placed them on a flat cushioned insert (in front of the 3,4,5 toes) which then went into the shoe. Makes for slightly lumpy walking that you get used to, but from the very first night after using these during the day my foot hasn't cramped.
Wonderful! December 30, 2009 T-Bone 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I may not be describing my condition properly, but as I understand it, I have deterioration in the first metatarsal joint on my right foot which caused throbbing and swelling. I tried orthotics, cortisone shots and lastly surgery, and I still had the problem.
I bought these little pads and finally found relief. I tried a variety of pads and insoles with built-in metatarsal pads until I found the Pro-Tecs, and these are, by far, the best. The others either don't offer support, slide around (gel) and are just plain useless or support at first but break down quickly. These are wonderful! =)
