I bought this for an elderly woman who was having heel pain. Many elderly suffer from heel pain due to reduced collagen, and thereby padding on the heel, leaving the bone vulnerable to bruising. She reports the pain subsided as soon as she put them in her shoes and after wearing them for a few weeks says the heel pain is entirely gone.
As the woman is not steady on her feel, the solid gel, versus a pillow type gel insert that allows excess motion, was a good choice.
A good gift for the elderly.
