Product Description Higher heels create a ramp effect putting the foot in a tip-toe position with the foot sliding toward the toe and putting painful pressure on the ball of the foot. Invented by leading podiatrist, Dr. Howard Dananberg, Insolia Inserts shift weight off the ball of the foot and back to the heel (where it belongs). Caution: Not recommended for individuals with diabetes.

they DO work November 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If they slip around, tape them in; if the thickness of the heel portion raises your heel and makes the back of the shoe too short, move them forward! These DO work! They make a huge difference. I had to place mine about 1.5 inches from the edge of my heel to be in the right place for me (I have long arches). They are exactly what I needed, and what I previously developed in my mind but didn't know how to make - then I found Insolias. Highly recommended.
Why the Reviews Skew High or Low October 20, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Hi - I'm the product engineer for Insolia High Heel Inserts - I want to explain why the reviews are skewed high or low.
Insolia Inserts work by shifting the weight off the ball of the foot back to the heel, where it belongs. To do this the inserts work with the geometry of the foot and the shoe they are installed in. Biology being what it is, there is a natural bell curve.
Our testing shows Insolia Inserts work for over 80% of women. The top or right side of the curve has what we call the "Evangelical" experience. If you are in this group you will feel the difference as you stand up - and it's a big difference - and that's what you see in the favorable reviews. The folks at the bottom or left side of the curve feel nothing - and that's what's in the negative reviews.
For the majority of women in the middle of the curve, you will find you can wear your heels about 3 to 4 times longer before the pain sets in. Those heels that start to hurt mid morning should make it to the end of the work day. The heels that are good till lunch should now be good into the evening.
There are no miracles - those killer heels you can stand for 5 minutes in - well, you should be fine for 15 minutes - which might get you to the restaurant table and back - but stand up cocktail parties are still not an option! Sorry Manolo...
In the blog, Stiletto Jungle, (http://stilettojungle.blogspot.com/2007/07/girl-talk-reviews-insolia-makes-high.html) the author describes how she pulled out her "4 1/2 inches of pure pointy toe divaliciousness poised on a single thin stiletto" and installed insolia "after a rather involved and confusing procedure that required me to reposition several times". When she first tried them she was "unimpressed. They felt just like the shoes always do when I first put them on: high, and not exactly sneaker-ish, but not painful. 10 hours later-- after a full day in the office and then hoofing it around the city from mailbox, to grocery store, to dry cleaner-- they felt the exact same. No happy spa feet feel. No squishy softness. I was disappointed until I stopped and thought about it. 10 hours in 4 1/2 inch stilettos and they still felt the exact same as when I first put them on. Damn. That's impressive."
Unless she'd been writing a review for her blog she'd have never written them up - in fact - unless she'd thought about it she'd have stayed disappointed...
So, look at these Insolia reviews as confirmation that Insolia Inserts are real - there is a bell curve - you can see it for yourselves. We can't promise miracles - just a reasonable chance that we'll make your high heels easier to wear. By the way, we do offer at 30 day money back guarantee - so Insolia is worth a try. Hope this helps explain what is going on.
May you all be in the top of the curve!

These are magic! July 1, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I still don't quite understand how a little insert in the heel/instep of my shoe can make such a difference, but they really do. I was skeptical, but figured it was worth a try. They are the best things you can do for your feet if you're wearing heels. I've started telling every woman I know about these (and even a stranger who overheard me telling a friend in the shoe store!). I bought one pair in a store while on the east coast to try. That store isn't around on the west coast, so I found them online and bought six more pairs! (The only flaw - they stick in place so you can't move them from shoe to shoe, you need one set per pair of shoes, but they are well worth it!) They really are that good. Read the little sheet that tells you how to place them in your shoes; you shouldn't feel a bump in your instep or heel. If you do, adjust them. Once they're in right you will notice a subtle difference. Your weight somehow shifts from the ball of your foot back onto the heel. I've stood for 6 hours straight (literally, no sitting at all during that time) and when I got home my feet were tired like they would be if I were wearing flats. If anything my heels were a little uncomfortable (but it was 6 hrs!) but the balls of my feet didn't hurt at all. Normally in heels I'd be in pain after an hour or two, and the balls of my feet would ache when I finally took the shoes off. I also put a pair in some strappy sandals. These sandals were perfectly comfortable if I wasn't walking a lot, but I found the straps would dig into my feet if I was doing a lot of walking. Once I put the inserts in, my weight stayed toward the heel of the shoe so there was no pressure toward the front and the straps didn't hurt no matter how much I walked. And no need to worry about appearance - they are clear, so they aren't really obvious, and they are made to be slightly in from all edges so even with sandals or open back shoes they can't be seen when the shoes are on. Save your feet and give them a try!
Amazing comfort February 19, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
When I first saw this product I wondered how a small piece of rubber could make any difference, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I have a pair of high heel boots that I love but rarely wear because they are so uncomfortable. I put the insole in only one shoe to see if I could tell a difference and by the end of the day all I could think about was getting home and putting the other insole in my shoe for some relief. Insolia made a surprising difference.

This is a wonderful invention. However, I'm not sure how long the stickiness will last to keep it in place. I like the fact that your feet are not painful in pretty shoes.
