I BOUGHT THIS ITEM TO STRAIGHTEN HAIR WITH INSTEAD OF THE PRESSING COMB AND IT WAS WONDERFUL IT REALLY LETS ME GET TO THE ROOT LOL AND STRAIGHTENS WONDERFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This product is great. I originally thought it was a farouk chi, but it is a farouk deep brilliance. Initially I was very concerned that it would not perform as well as the chi flat irons, but it works just as great. i guess because it's made by the same company. I bought it from amazon because it was the lowest price I found on the web, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. if you need a good .5 inch flat iron, this is the way to go!!!

I am really well pleased with this flat iron. I purchased it to straighten my almost 9 yr old daughters hair. She has extremely thick and course hair and it is cut above shoulder length so it was hard to straighten with any other size. This iron is so great cause you can turn down the temperature if need be and it is maneuverable. It takes a lot less time with this iron than it does my slightly larger one. I do recommend this item.
