5 out of 5 stars A Fabulous Product That Has Relieved My Plantar Fasciitis Pain!   December 9, 2008

I have recently written a review of the ProStretch Calf stretching device ProStretch - Unilateral describing my journey seeking relief for heel spurs caused by Plantar Fasciitis. That journey ended with the purchase of the Dr. Scholls Adjustable Arch Support. For the full review, click the link above and look for my review.

In a nutshell, after my doctor diagnosed my foot pain as heel spurs caused by Plantar Fasciitis, I purchased the ProStretch and it helped a great deal by keeping my calf muscles stretched out, preventing those larger muscles from pulling on the much smaller Plantar Fascia tissue on the bottom of the foot, which eventually produces calcium deposits or bone spurs.

This worked good but the ProStretch does nothing for you while you sleep. From there, I purchased Night Splints and that pretty much did the trick only I wasn't thrilled with the idea of wearing them for the rest of my life.

Then one day on a job, a friend who also has heel spurs and wore night splints approached me and said he didn't have to wear the boots anymore, was pain free and it was inexpensive. What he showed me was the Dr Scholls Adjustable Arch Supports. He said all his pain was gone and that he wears them in all his shoes. It seemed too good to be true.

On the way home, I stopped by a drug store, picked up a pair, put the strongest inserts in, started wearing them that moment and I have been pain free since. No more night splints needed.

So if you suffer from Plantar Fasciitis, you may want to try these out, just to see if they will help you with your pain, as it has with mine and my friend. It may not, or it may not totally relieve it like it has ours, but it's inexpensive enough to give it a try.

Good luck!

5 out of 5 stars Great relief from arch pain, even if you cannot feel it right away   June 29, 2008

I was a bit sceptical when I tried these arch supports for the first time. It feels like the support is more near the heels than the foot arch itself. But, it somehow works very well. I used to get arch pain from walking for 10 minutes. With these supports, I went for a full day(12-hour) hike, but there was no trace of any arch pain or discomfort. There was no arch pain even after running for some time

4 out of 5 stars A good product with a minor flaw   April 21, 2008

These inserts do help minimize foot/arch pain as well as minor back pain due to improper arch support. However, due to the fact that the majority of a person's arch is on the inside of the foot, I do not understand why they created these inserts with the arch in the center. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't occasionally cause my ankles to roll inward slightly. But then again, this could just be me. Despite the random ankle discomfort, this is a worthwhile product for those with foot, arch, and/or lower back pain.
