1 out of 5 stars No Support   November 12, 2008
This bandage is too big for my 8 1/2 size foot! It feels good when I pull on the top to put more pressure on my arch but it's unrealistic to do that all day. I do a better job taping up my foot with surgical tape than what this does.

4 out of 5 stars I found it helpful   September 13, 2008
By itself the Arch Bandage is not a magic solution. I found it to be a sometimes helpful addition to massage and tinkering with my shoes, insoles, and activities. By stabilizing the forefoot it seems to decrease the stress on the ligament pulling on the injury at the heel spur. That's the theory. Having recently had some busy shifts with a lot of time on my feet, I found that I experienced much less reinjury wearing the Arch Bandage than when I had previously put similar demands on my feet without it.
The Arch Bandage is a little bit uncomfortable in itself, and it can get progressively more uncomfortable with a prolonged session of wearing it. There is no theraputic value to having it on while you are at rest. If you can take a load off your feet, it is best to remove it and massage your foot. The value appears to be in preventing or decreasing some reinjury when I must be on my feet.
The Arch Bandage may not be helpful if your foot problem is significantly different from mine.
I found the Pedifix Arch Bandage available in one Wal-Mart but not another. Several drug stores I checked did not have it.

Would it be better to make a beeline to the podiatrist? Maybe. I would suggest asking around for recommendations. It seems like there are a lot of people who have had foot problems and a variety of experiences with podiatrists. Some devices are more lucrative than useful.

I've noticed a difference when wearing it and not. It IS helpful + it's only 4 bucks. Doesn't cure the problem, but it helps.

Great for walking around to lift the arch and ease the pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis. A little uncomfortable to run while wearing the Arch Bandage.

Okay, for those who have suffered from the "RELENTLESS" pain of Plantar Fascitis this is a quick fix (Mild/moderate Cases). Having had corrective surgery on my Left Foot which was absolutely 100% successful, I would prefer avoiding it on my Right due to my working schedule, etc,. This elastic baby does indeed offer relief, a firm hugging band does indeed those abused tendons (they respond to constant pressure). I am currently avoiding exercise due to my severe pain yet ordered a "Night Splint" (from this site) in the hopes all will "resolve". Have to admit I would prefer to avoid this awful chronic pain. But in all fact to sum it all up, try this band it does help for the price and short term pain relief.
