Product Description "As a practicing Dermatologist for over 22 years, I have found this to be the most revolutionary product for softening rough hands that I have seen."- Dr. David Horowitz It helps take care of the skin in ways that medications cant... Gloves In A Bottle is the most worthwhile over-the-counter preparation that I recommend.- Dr. Peter Helton, Dermatologist and Cosmetic Surgeon. Conventional lotions only attempt to replace natural moisture with artificial moisture. The problem is they come off when you wash or touch something. Additionally, in order for any moisture to actually improve a dry skin condition, it needs to get below your second major layer of skin. In reality, the only moisture that is going to reach this level is your skins own natural moisture. When you apply artificial moisture to the skins surface you may be sending the wrong message - that your skin is being adequately moisturized, when in fact it is actually dehydrated of natural moisture. This often results in reducing production of natural moisture, which is vital to abate a dry skin condition Unlike artificial moisturizers, Gloves In A Bottle bonds with the outer layer of skin to turn it into what works like an invisible pair of gloves. These "invisible gloves" keep moisture robbing irritants out while helping to retain your skins own natural moisture, resulting in skin that is better hydrated than what is achieved by conventional lotions. Gloves In A Bottle is virtually undetectable once dry, lasts four hours or more, and comes off naturally with exfoliated skin cells.

Infection Control RN December 14, 2008 Due to the high volume of hand washing RNs perform, we needed a product to protect our hands, yet would allow us to continue frequent hand sanitation. Gloves in a bottle is getting rave reviews from our RNs! Gloves in a bottle is light, fast drying and provides the protection we need. Awsome product!!
No better than other lotions August 16, 2008 I have very bad excema on my right hand, such that it flakes, cracks and bleeds. This lotion doesn't help me any more than all the other ineffective lotions. I'm finding what actually is working is to put Aquaphor (for baby's diaper rash) on my hands at night and then cover them with a cotton glove. The medical cotton gloves were too expensive, so I purchased 4 pair of regular cotton winter mittens from Target for $1.50 each - can't beat that (and in funny colors too). The Aquaphor is about $4. I leave the glove on all day too, but without the Aquaphor. Aquaphor is greasy, and I like to take my glove off briefly throughout the day (to prepare food, etc.), so I don't want the Aquaphor on during the daytime.

I've had very dry skin all my life but it's worse as I get older. In the winter when the air is drier I get deep cracks by my fingernails. It feels like someone poked me with a pin if I bump one. Sometimes my fingers throb. Sometimes all ten fingers are involved and on both sides of the nail. I have to figure out which fingers I can use to do things with my hands. Gloves In A Bottle doesn't eliminate the problem but it sure decreases it. If I use it regularly during the day and at bedtime, I usually have only one or two fingers involved and the cracks don't become as deep. The other benefit is less important: I can use it and chop Jalapeno peppers in the the fall and experience only mild heat. I keep stocked up on this product.
(Amazingly) Works as advertised. February 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I work in a commercial kitchen, and constant hand washing, exposure to chemical sanitizers, and wet cleaning towels had irritated a part of my right hand. It was dry and cracked (painfully so) for months. I tried other hand lotions, but without success. As instructed, I applied the Glove in a Bottle about every 4 hours. In a couple of days, the dryness started to improve...in a couple of weeks, it was almost gone without even being able to see where it was all cracked before. I would recommend this product to anyone.

This is a wonderful product. It is the only "moisturizer" that can keep my husbands hands from cracking and being painful, especially in the winter. My husband has diabetes and has a particularly hard time with dry cracked hands and fingers. He won't use anything else.
