Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The BD Safe-ClipTM Needle Clipping & Storage Device removes insulin syringe needles and pen needles safely and easily. This portable device holds up to 1,500 clipped needles, approximately a 2-year supply. The BD Safe-ClipTM Device makes the syringe unusable by clipping off the needle. After the device clips the needle from the syringe the needle is automatically and safely retained within the clipper. Do not clip if this is not your own syringe. The device can be used with 28G through 31G needles and 3/16" (5mm) through " (12.7mm) length needles.

5 out of 5 stars Needle Clippers not just for diabetics, Copaxone users rejoice!   January 7, 2009
I administer a daily Copaxone shot to myself for MS. Seeing as I have a 2 & 1/2 year old and a 4 month old in the house, I am hyper vigilant about disposing of used syringes. This device allows me to process the needle, re-cap it and toss in the garbage. The clipper does leave a tiny, tiny nub at the end of the needle (hence the recapping) but it is immeasurably easier than dealing with a full blown syringe. Before I received this item I was using plastic bottles to hold the used ones and poked myself on several occasions just handling the bottle. Those needles are sharp!

5 out of 5 stars Works great   December 26, 2008
I use this for my daily Copaxone shots, when I am out and about. I love this product. I am still quite nervous about throwing my glass syringe, but at least I am not carrying my sharps (needle) around.

5 out of 5 stars BD Self Click - Compact and Easy to use   October 28, 2008
The BD Easy Clip is compact and easy to use. No longer am concerned about storage of used needles.

5 out of 5 stars This is the way to go   August 24, 2008
I love this needle clipping and storage device, they thought of everything, it even automatically locks once the needle is clipped.
I wanted this for safety and because of the bulk of needle storage.
I am at ease of mind now, I feel that my household, the garabagemen, the trash dump people, and animals are safe from worry if they where to get pricked, though I don't carry anything for them too be too worried about, they wouldn't know that, and to be pricked by someones needle is plan nasty and right now I have a few of those home sharps containers that no one can tell me where I can dispose of them, so I'm going to be clipping everything.

I can't say anything about junkies though as I've seen others do in these reviews, most of our used needles might be cleaner than what they are using, I would never feel like I was 'contributing" to a junkie if they got in my trash, because a junkie will find whatever they need to get a fix whether it's my trash or they make their own syringe and I'll take this opportunity to give an opinion about that; I believe 100% that there should be safe needle exchanges around the world and instead of prisons there should be clinics to give them regulated drugs and counceling so that the junkie can as they get safe and secure can then start weaning their self off of the drugs, because it will take years and if they are under doctor care they can become productive again and regulating their junkie drugs will reduce the black street market greatly. ok I'll step off of my soap box now. It looks good on paper anyways.

5 out of 5 stars Simple and effective   July 30, 2008
Exactly what I was looking for! My cat has diabetes and it's been difficult to get information on how to properly dispose of the needles. The needle clipper is small, inexpensive and does the trick.
