I've only used these clippers once, so my experience is admittedly limited. I got these to deal with a few toenails that are infected with a toenail fungus. As a result, the nails are ugly, very brittle, and vary in thickness. Normal toenail clippers were difficult to maneuver into the corners and tended to split and crack the nail when used.
The good news is that these nippers seem to make a clean cut. No splitting or cracking my first use. The bad news, or at least a question, is that they aren't as easy to operate as I expected. It may be that I am simply unfamiliar with them and haven't developed a technique yet. In a few instances, I was squeezing as hard as I could but not cutting the nail. I repositioned the blades and was able to finally cut the nails.
Overall, they seem sturdy and well made. I'm hoping my issue is "operator error."
