Takes getting used to. January 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These hurt my husband's feet - a lot!!! He hasn't gotten used to step one yet. They are not comfortable for long periods. You can only use them for an hour or so before they hurt so bad that they have to be removed. They also tend to slide forward a bit in his shoes. They come with little sticker things that you are supposed to use with them to keep them in place but they didn't work. He says that they don't fit his feet. Maybe they would fit yours, but he gave up and put some Dr. Scholl's inserts in his shoes and says they feel great! They were not for him, but he is middle aged, maybe too old to change! Hope this was helpful.
Not that great even for the price. January 12, 2008 I had high hopes for this orthotic mostly because custom orthotics are so costly. However, I have truly flat feet and the Walk Fit doesn't support the arch as much as it supports the middle of the foot. I actually have to put additional material under the Walk Fit in the arch area to fully support my foot but this make for a very tight shoe and a fit that is not altogether comfortable. If you have a medium wide to wide foot which needs a real supportive arch, this may not be the one. The additional rubber pieces that go into the Phase 4 only increase the height of the middle section of the support, doing nothing for the arch. Had I had a chance to test them before buying, I would not have purchased them, however, once bought, they are used and difficult to return. If you have money to spare, give them a try as they may work. If your budget is tight, it may not be worth the experiment.
Excellent product & shipping costs were better than average January 10, 2008 In my humble opinion, same orthotic as Good Feet and you get it for a fraction of the cost. I know because I have bought Good Feet orthotics, spent a chunk of money and Walk Fit are identical.
Made a bad situation worse December 28, 2007 (I had to rate it but, if it was up to me it would get NO star at all.)
I have back pain and foot pain so I thought, after watching the infomercial, that this was just what I needed after hearing all the testimonials. I liked the fact that the heal was low, kind of like the Earth shoe of the 70's. But they neglected to tell you that the arches were very hard plastic. The arches hurt like hell and I used the lowest one (they provide three different heights of arches.). Also, it took forever for them to get here. (I ordered from the Walkfit company, not Amazon.) I paid $10 shipping. What were they using? Pony Express? Anyhow, when I called the company about the pain, (I couldn't walk with them more than a few minutes) they told me I would have to get used to them. I tried again and then the next day and so on. I really wanted them to work for me. Just hurt so bad I had to return them after a few weeks of trying to adjust. After returning them, I had to call the company because the refund was also taking forever. When I called I found out that they actually didn't put the refund through yet (and I called two weeks after they got the package back which, according to my tracking number, arrived on November 28th). It's now December 28th and still no refund. OK, I'm ranting. But, this is not the product that I expected, especially since they target people who are having problems walking but the product made it even harder to walk.
Good Orthotic, Great Price December 21, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've owned (a well known, brand name) orthotics for years. You know what, Walk Fit orthotics are just as good and a fraction of their price. I can now afford to have multiple pairs of orthotics instead of having one pair and changing them from shoe to shoe. One of the reviewers stated how uncomfortable they are. I'm going to guess that he has flat feet just like I do. When I initially started wearing orthotics 5 years ago, it felt like I was walking on a golf ball cut in half and stuck in my shoe. It took me a month or more to get use to them. If you have severely flat feet, don't expect them to feel comfortable right away. The instructions tell you to gradually build up to wearing them for a full day over time. Now, I wear them from sunrise to sundown. Although self diagnosed, I believe I was suffering from Morton's Neuroma. The orthotics immediately took away the nerve pain and as a added benefit, helped my knee pain too. All I know is that they work and the price is 7 times less than another store name brand.
