Not ideal for thicker hair October 27, 2008 I was really disappointed when i opened the box. The product does now have the "solid" feel of a good styling tool. Light is good - but this is too light.
It took ages to heat up and just never go hot enough. I have been using Conair for years, and this just doesn't compare.
The barrel is a great size and the "teeth" really gripped my hair, but it would just take me too long as it doesn't get nearly hot enough for my thick hair.
could be hotter September 23, 2008 this product pretty much operates as the other Helen of Troy burshes. It doesn't quite get hot enough.
Awesome Curling Iron September 5, 2008 I've used this curling iron for MANY years and I love it. I broke one of mine on a trip and I could find none that were it's equal. I have very long hair and I hate rollers and this is perfect for the roller look without having to weigh down your head and have it poked or pulled for hours. I don't know what I would do without it. Scream, probably. You do need to have experience with using a curling brush and have some finesse with it so as not to get entangled in it though. I have definitely accomplished that control.
curling iron is great July 3, 2008 The Helen of Troy curling iron that I purchased is great.....I had owned one previously so I knew that it was a good product...
Great product for long hair. July 1, 2008 Great product. A little too large for my length hair so I purchased the identical curling brush with a 1" barrel. Much better for me. I'll keep them both in case I decide to try a longer style. Watch out for the end of the barrel though, it gets very hot. Also must be aware of the on switch. Has a tendency to get turned off while in use.
