| Customer Reviews:
Not what I expected October 28, 2008 I have high arches and needed insoles for my converse sneakers. After a day of walking in New York City, my feet were really sore especially my arches. I quickly went into a drug store and bought the product I should've bought originally, the Dr. Scholes arch inserts. I now use these inside my Puma Mostro sneakers, which are snugger than my Converse shoes, and they seem to work better. So it seems like these work best on snug shoes.
Best off the shelf orthotic I've tried so far... August 19, 2008 Some years ago, I purchased a pair of hiker shoe/boots that had a natural orthotic sole which somehow found it's way into the design. Next thing I know, I'm standing up perfectly straight and after a few weeks my slouch is gone. They also relieved stress and strain on my feet, legs and back.
Since then, I've bought probably 2 dozen different types of orthotic inserts, none of which met up to the hype or could hold a candle to my hiker shoes. They never have nearly enough arch and are always always always waaaaay too soft.
This pair however seems to take a more intelligent approach. They are firmer and provide more of an arch. The day I bought them my back and legs had been hurting so I got in the car, did the deed of putting them in my shoes and within 30 seconds of lacing them back up, my back and leg stopped hurting. Impressive since I wasn't even walking which of course once I did, I was delighted to feel a huge void of pressure that normally builds up in the bad spots of my back.
They could be a bit better in design but certainly do the trick so until I find something that appears to offer a steeper, thicker slop and equally as firm if not firmer padding, I'll be stocking up on these. Not perfect but still highly recommended.
