Two 7" x 2" strips of moleskin on the shins are very effective for preventing abrasion during a week of aggressive downhill skiing.

It is much easier to use moleskin for the areas needed by cutting off a roll the shape and area needed and it goes further. The small packages are very limited in how much you can do with them.

This stuff is a lifesaver if you hike. The big roll works great for a family or group and is far more economical than the little pieces you buy from the store.

I love this soft, fuzzy Moleskin. I find so many uses for it... like padding my shins to protect them from ski boot abuse, blister prevention, resurfacing my shoe orthotics, covering the inside of eyeglass cases, lining most anything that pinches, scratches or iritates my skin. It's as necessary a household staple as duct tape. :) :)
