5 out of 5 stars knee pain   August 22, 2010
Paul Jacob Barker (louisville, ky United States)
I have the common and work shoe types of gel insoles offered by doc S. I am as flat footed as they come. For most of my adult life, I have had foot and knee pain when I spent any considerable time on my feet. Few things are as grating as persistent knee and foot pain. When I use these insoles, it greatly reduces or eliminates my knee and foot pain. I only wish I started using these earlier. I would recommend these to anyone, and cannot commend them enough.

Great for work, working out, and walking - excellent upgrade to any pair of shoes, well worth the price.

Thank-you.

1 out of 5 stars Don't Believe the Hype . . .   August 17, 2010

This product was such a disappointment. I purchased these for a camping trip that included an easy 5-mile hike. After cutting them to size, I replaced the thin insoles that came with my Asolo hiking boots with these. I didn't feel any immediate difference, but figured they would pay off during the hike. Not a chance. They were actually less comfortable than the worn-out original insoles! Not only that, but the bottoms of my feet actually hurt while I was wearing Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles.

Now I have to go through the trouble of returning them and hopefully getting a refund minus the shipping and tax. I'm normally not a complainer, but if Dr. Scholl's had invested a tiny fraction of the marketing hype into the actual product, they wouldn't have disappointed me so much.

As they are, they are just another substandard Chinese product not worth the material they are made of or even the packaging they came in. I would give this product zero stars if I could.

2 out of 5 stars Wear out Quickly   June 25, 2010

These are definitely softer than the insoles that came with my shoes. However, they wore out in just a few months. These are not one size fits all
but you have to use scissors to cut the size out that fits your shoes. So the edges that result are prone to getting damaged due to walking.
Mine lasted maybe 4 month.

5 out of 5 stars Love these!   June 25, 2010

I'm going to have to agree with another reviewer, I think people are installing these wrong. They go pretty side down. I have these in all of my shoes, I just can't have it any other way any more. New shoes (before they have these put in) feel entirely too hard for my taste. The only time I've had any slipping issues was in a pair of Vans (which were much to wide for the insert anyway), and that was very rarely. Just take your time, completely remove the shoe laces, and make sure you cut them to size perfectly. They are a bit of a pain to get in when they are cut properly.

Besides that, they are nice and squishy, and stay that way under heavy use. I got my first one three years ago, its since been switched to another pair of shoes, and it still feels great. Its like walking on padding everywhere you go. They definitely make any closed-toe shoe loads more comfortable.
