4 out of 5 stars Daniel Green Women's Teresa Bootie Washable Slipper   October 26, 2008

I've wanted a pair of bootie slippers for a long time, after seeing shearling slippers. But I want washable slippers, so shearling wasn't for me. So I tried this in lavender.

These slippers are definitely true to size, which I find wonderful because I wear a half size. They fit my feet perfectly for a slipper, just a bit loose. Not so loose that my feet slide around in them, but loose enough to wear a nice pair of cushy socks Champion Women's 3-Pack High Performance Crew Socks as well when it's really cold.

The toe box is very rounded, sort of like a clog, which leaves plenty of room to wiggle my toes. The outsole is sturdy; the insole is memory foam. I find them very comfortable, plus they're washable.

If your feet swell, size up or choose other slippers. These are like an ankle boot. They'll be too tight if your feet swell.

Daniel Green slippers are available at other retailers besides Amazon, so I recommend comparison shopping to get the best price you can.

I really would like to give these 4.5 stars. I'm very pleased with these slippers. But the product description is a bit misleading in terms of the memory foam insole. It's comfortable, and the slipper actually provides a bit of support (unusual for slippers), but it's not as soft and luxe as the description sounds. The slippers were shedding some lint when I received them, but I just brushed that off. Daniel Green is a brand I'll try again.

Couldn't find these slippers in any store near my house. They're very soft, comfortable & cushiony. The sole is non-skid. Love 'em!

These are soft, warm, and the soles are hard enough that you won't just walk through them in a month (I've mostly had slippers w/ cloth soles, and they go fast!). I've washed mine, and mostly air-dried them, but I finished drying them in the dryer on low while they were still damp and noticed no shrinkage/ damage. Whenever these wear out (I suspect a very long time from now), I will certainly buy again.
